Sixth World Wine Tourism Forum
PRESS CONFERENCE FOR THE PRESENTATION OF THE SIXTH WORLD WINE FORUM PROMOTED AND ORGANIZED BY UNWTO, IN COLLABORATION WITH THE MINISTRY OF TOURISM, ENIT AND THE PIEDMONT REGION
Innovation, creativity and sustainability at the center of the Sixth World Wine Tourism Forum, presented today during the press conference organized at the headquarters of the Foreign Press Association in Rome, attended by the Minister of Tourism Massimo Garavaglia, the director of Europe of UNWTO Alessandra Priante, the CEO of ENIT Roberta Garibaldi and the Tourism Councilor of the Piedmont Region Vittoria Poggio.
The Ministry of Tourism announces an investment of 30 million euros in the wine tourism sector.
THE FORUM
The World Forum, promoted and organized by UNWTO in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, ENIT and the Piedmont Region, will be held from 19 to 21 September in Alba, in the magnificent setting of the Langhe, Roero and Monferrato territories, a UNESCO heritage site.
The pandemic test has profoundly marked wine tourism which, while showing a certain resilience, is now called to innovate.
It must be able to propose experiences capable of intercepting the needs of a wide audience, composed not only of experts but also of those who love to discover the beauty, history, values of the places and the people who live there through the pleasure of wine.
And be structured to create economic, social and cultural value for territories, companies and the local community.
The Forum will represent an opportunity for discussion and reflection on the current situation, prospects and future challenges of the sector.
Experts and operators will discuss how to innovate wine tourism, the role of creativity as a lever for innovation, and sustainability as a paradigm for generating lasting value.
