Trekking, bike and tastings for the Walk among the olive trees
Trekking, cycling, bread and oil tastings, visits to oil mills, olive harvesting experiences. 17 Sardinian Oil Cities are the protagonists of the fifth edition of the Walk among the olive trees, the event promoted by the National Association of Oil Cities in 142 Italian cities.
Sunday appointment in Berchidda, Bolotana, Bosa, Giba, Gonnosfanadiga, Ilbono, Ittiri, Samatzai, Santadi, Sennori, Serrenti, Siddi, Sini, Sorso, Usini, Ussaramanna and Villamassargia. The itinerary chosen for the Walk among the olive trees of Bosa is the Temo Valley. A trip to discover the olive-growing heritage of the Is Muras Municipal Park is planned in Giba. The Ilbono Walk will wind through the centuries-old olive trees and will end in the farmhouse "Su mangasinu 'e Perucciu". In Ittiri, a walk through the centuries-old olive groves to the F.lli Delogu oil mill. In Samatzai, the walk leads to one of the most important archaeological sites "Su Nuraxi". The path of the Walk among the olive trees of Santadi will pass through the former railway track, close to the Collina di Pani Loriga. In Sennori there will be the story of the women with the "muzziglia" (a kind of large pocket that they put on life and in which they put the harvested olives). The route can also be done by mountain bike. The Siddi Walk will take place along the path of the ancient carter Bia Baressa and Bia Ussaramanna. The Walk among the Olives of Sorso will consist of a path on foot or by mountain bike from the area of the Billellera Fountain. In Usini visits to the mill from the early 1900s located inside the old "Corte Diaz" and to that of the "Ezza" oil farm. of historical-naturalistic interest: the medieval castle of Gioiosa Guardia and the historic olive grove of S'Ortu Mannu.
