One of the most important and beautiful excursions that can be done in Phuket is the one that includes a visit to the Gibbons Sanctuary, a wildlife protection area commissioned for the love of these monkeys by a Western scientist. In this particular wildlife reserve, gibbons are reintroduced into the jungle thanks to the work of some volunteers.
The wildlife reserve is near Thalang, an undoubtedly very beautiful and wild area that gives a true idea of ​​Thailand.

The tour starts in the morning at 9.00 and includes an excursion with elephants in the forest and a visit to the waterfalls, reached by off-road vehicles, with which after the Gibbons Sanctuary. In this place an international program foresees the rehabilitation of the Gibbons and the reintroduction of these important primates into the wild. For many years these adorable animals have been snatched from the wild to exhibit them at fairs and on the street A walk in the jungle to reach the canoes again and visit a river mangrove forest. The canoe trip ends on a farm where rice of the Thai variety is grown, using traditional methods, with a Thai buffalo pulling the plow.

After a busy day, a Thai lunch: a buffet set up on the beach that includes a great variety of dishes to satisfy all palates. The products are of high quality and fresh from the morning market.
