Let’s start with autumn tourism
It was a seasonal “appetizer" of the highest level. A special and refined dinner based on truffles and one of the most famous chefs in the world: Vito Mollica.
But this event with autumn flavors and colors is just one of the many events scheduled to keep this slice of Sardinia alive, not just in summer. A courageous challenge, which undoubtedly requires an economic effort, and which becomes a real and ongoing project. The Li Neuli Country Club, in the Arzachena area, managed by “Mine & Yors Group", which is about to open two new restaurants (two authentic pearls of Italian haute cuisine and not only) in Florence and Dubai. And Mollica, who for 25 years worked for the Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts company, has turned the page and accepted the prestigious position of director of culinary of this new company (it was born three years ago) which operates in the hospitality sector of international luxury. And here is the all-Sardinian challenge: Li Neuli, a five-star refuge surrounded by seven hectares of greenery and surrounded by the suggestive rocks of San Pantaleo, remains open all year round and, as Stefano Cuoco, managing director of Mine & Yours, remarked Group, “we have decided to expand the range of services also in favor of the local community in autumn and winter because these are the perfect seasons to experience a different type of tourism, certainly more genuine".
So, Friday evening, we started with a “main dish": a dinner entitled “Truffle in the clouds" and a starred chef. And it was Vito Mollica who spoke, with a contagious smile and enthusiasm, about this new job challenge that also starts from Li Neuli.
«After twenty-five years with the Four Seasons and a lot of satisfactions – he said – it is as if you were in a comfort zone, sitting comfortably in a living room. Now, however, at the age of 50, I am experiencing again the anxieties and fears which are what fuel my adrenaline and the desire to do. In short, it is a new beginning. And then, fundamentally, I have a family – my wife and children. They charge me and support me and they too have encouraged me in this change. Mine & Yours Group’s projects are ambitious and engaging and this is a great stimulus. But even this evening, here in Li Neuli, is only a beginning. We are already working on new and important events that we will materialize starting in the next few weeks. We must believe in it and insist. And the results will come ».
During the dinner, Cristiano Savini, owner of Savini Tartufi Tuscany, answered the questions of the many people sitting at the table by telling anecdotes and curiosities related to truffles.
Also present were the representatives of Vigne Surrau di Arzachena and the Piedmontese Cantina Ca ‘Viola, both partners of the event.
