Musica sulle Bocche
Musica sulle Bocche
Born in 2001, created and directed by Enzo Favata, it has proved to be an unmissable musical event since its first edition.
Over time Musica sulle Bocche has transformed into an increasingly international Festival with world-renowned guests and at the same time linked to the land in which it takes place, to the point of becoming a widespread Festival involving many municipalities in Northern Sardinia.
The spirit that animates one of the most awaited shows of the summer combines the passion for Jazz, the love for one of the most beautiful islands in the Mediterranean and a deep sense of respect for the environment. With the aim of creating beauty and helping to combat the depopulation of small towns, the International Jazz Festival Musica sulle Bocche has proved to be a formidable phenomenon of tourist and cultural promotion for the entire island.
The twenty-second edition of the international festival “Musica sui Bocche” is held from 3 to 21 August in twelve municipalities of Sardinia. It starts from the Strait of Bonifacio with thirty-five concerts on the bill, in the most beautiful landscapes of northern Sardinia. Jazz once again marries the green philosophy of the festival. The goal, this year more than ever, is to promote tourism by creating beauty between nature and culture. With its sunrises and sunsets, the event will start from La Maddalena to close in Castelsardo, passing through Martis, Tergu, Nulvi, Valledoria, Chiaramonti, Bulzi, Porto Torres (with a concert on the Asinara island) and Ploaghe.

“The mission of Musica sui Bocche has always been to create beauty: a project born many years ago that combines music, nature, culture and tourism in a single format, and in this moment of great return to normal life, the festival renews its commitment – explains the artistic director Enzo Favata – from this year we return to the Strait of Bonifacio, where it all started twenty-two years ago. We leave from La Maddalena, one of the most beautiful islands in the Mediterranean, and from there the caravan, after touching many centers in northern Sardinia, will end its journey in Castelsardo, together with La Maddalena, two of the most beautiful villages in Italy. Our passion over the years has made us grow a lot, bringing music and cultural tourism between enchanted landscapes, in small Sardinian municipalities at risk of depopulation: a commitment of Musica sui Bocche towards the communities that preserve their identity and fight not to be abandoned. We started from a single community, to transform ourselves into a great event, launching concerts at dawn and dusk with the most important international jazz stars, in the name of respect for the environment, promoting the sustainable experiential tourism “.
